everyone wants a particular kind of heaven. at least that’s what the angels tell me. they say everyone wants a soft place to fall, a pillow that’s familiar. it smells like home and the sweet of a dear lovers’ hair.
it’s sad they say. the ride is fun because we scream together over the tracks. clowns made you cry and hide your face in legs of courduroy. we all learned to keep our balance holding someone’s hand.
we leave casually. what is it if we run into each other in this lifetime? say goodbye say hello and part repeat repeat. will we even remember when we arrive on those golden shores or in the arms of so many virgins?
nothing is hard no conflict no challenge no change. amuse me amuse you; did i do something to offend? never worry, you won’t be seeing me again, so no care, no plan, no compassions in the end.
my own a moonlight ride a crisp in the air and you by my side because i know as i wander through my time alone that i know you and i know you and i will try.
